The biggest difference is the shift time and fluidity of the shifts. The SMG I is about equal to the Getrag Steptronic automatic in shift times, but is very jerky and overall a bad idea. The SMG II shifts much faster and is much more solid and fluid in shifting than the SMG I (despite still being jerky).

Place the hose (hose needs to be 4 to 5 feet long) into fill hole and then blow air into the jug. Be careful, you don't want the jug bulging too much.
